April 2014 - March 2015 Creative Leave Coming off of Screwtape, we weren't prepared for another production; but Megan Marzeski had an idea for a musical. Along with Caleb Ames, they started writing Chasing Annie. Having enough written for June 2014, they tried to cast the production. Being a musical, it was a little harder to get the people from previous productions to go for it; since previously they had only done straight plays. They had casted it but people kept dropping out because other conflicts. Noticing that G-d was not providing for it and was moving Caleb Ames to a different area of the state, they dropped casting the production for the time being. Still believing that G-d has a plan for the production, it had been worked on and was planned to be casted and produced in Greenwich, NY for release date in December 2015. 
Dec. 2013 - March 2014 Screwtape After the success of The Chosen, Screwtape was chosen for the next production. Written by James Forsyth in the 1960's, it was not a very well know production. But because the script is derived form The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis, it was not hard to get interest in the production. The production team added Mike Edgar, a trained martial arts and historical fighter; also Christina Abrue, hair specialist. The play was a much bigger feat then any pervious production in the past. Screwtape is a three-act production with the cast of 15. With this challenge came a great cast of people to take part in the production. We had all returning cast from previous productions; which made the click of personalities work really well. With everyone on board, we were able to perform Screwtape with professionalism.  Screwtape enjoyed huge success, more than anything we had done in the past. The audience members that had never been to a production of ours were amazed at how well done it was; from the costumes, to the lighting, to the fighting, to the acting, everyone was stunned at the performance. Not only was the performance good, it accomplished the purpose of making people think and open their eyes to things past the natural and into the spiritual. 
May 2013 - Oct. 2013 The Chosen Adventuring out past a in house written production, The Chosen was picked for the next production. This was a little different for Beit Shalom Players; and it came with some challenges. The production team being the same, it casted The Chosen in late May with a set of five actors. The play was longer then For Such a Time: A Story of Esther by an hour; so it took much more practice and diligence. Mr. Malter in The Chosen kept having to get re-casted because the actors backed out. It was finally landed with Nathan Ames in July. After that, it was full force ahead till the dates of The Chosen on Sept 27 & 28, Oct 5 & 6. Nancy making the actors look the parts, Zachary with the stage props and lighting done by Amanda Ames, the Actors portraying there parts with greatness; the two weekend production of The Chosen was a smashing success. Beit Shalom Players first time charging for a production didn't stop anyone from coming out and experiencing the timeless story of boyhood to manhood. Raving reviews of the production brought more people to the second weekend of performances.
Dec. 2012 - March 2013 For Such a Time: A Story of Esther Working off the success of For Such a Time: A Story of Esther, it was casted for a third year in a row. Caleb Ames along with Megan Marzeski edited the script to bring more continuity to the production.  Then Nancy Kellenberger  was brought on as the costume designer; and she added the extra ingredient of greatness to the production. Props were built  to add the extra  visual help that brought the project together. With the largest cast since the start of Beit Shalom Players, it was a huge success. It was performed twice at its home location to a packed house for both performances. 
Dec. 2011 - March 2012 For Such a Time: A Story of Esther After a successful production of For A Time: A Story of Esther earlier in the year, it was coming to the time to produce it again. Given the opportunity to direct, Caleb Ames took For A Time: A Story of Esther, edited the script and switched the name after many patrons referred the previous production as For Such a Time: A Story of Esther. Then Caleb and Zachary recruited Isaac Ames, and together they casted the play for its second year in production. As the number of actors and actresses increased, the involvement by the community followed. After doing two performances at its home location, the players traveled to Transformed Life Center and City Hope Fellowship for single-night shows. 
Oct. 2010 - March 2011  For a Time: A Story of Esther As leaders of the Beit Shalom youth group, Elizabeth Ames and Zachary Ames inherited the responsibility of overseeing the traditional performance of the Esther skit performed annually around March as part of Purim festivities. The youth group had been performing the skit for years, but Elizabeth and Zachary saw that it was time for a change. They took the book of Esther, wrote a story outline, and gave it to Caleb Ames. Caleb took the outline and wrote a full length play: For a Time: A Story of Esther. Elizabeth, Caleb, and Zachary casted a local group of youth and adults for the production. Caleb and Elizabeth co-founded the Beit Shalom Players, co-directed, designed costumes, and performed in the production. Zachary produced the lighting, sound, and props. The group performed the play twice at its home location and once at Bible Baptist Church in Richfield Springs, New York.
